About Ryan Pham

Interior design has intrigued my interest in a challenging and long way. As a child, I loved drawing and was good at it in secondary school. I went to the premiere high school in my province and initially studied IT as my primary path. Architecture was not my first choice when signing up for college back in Vietnam and the interior design was barely an option back then. I studied Hospitality because I enjoyed working with people.

I was fortunate enough to move to the US in 2017 and got married. With my spouse’s support, I was able to go back to school. I continued studying Hospitality until I realized it was not for me. It took me a while to discover my true passion and future career.

One day my spouse suggested to take a student tour at DCOTA to see if it would spark my interest, and it did. While researching the possibilities of pursuing a ca-reer in interior design, I came across the Interior Design program at Palm Beach State College where I started taking classes in 2019. Since then, everything started to click and become clear in my mind. The passion for drawing, IT, and helping people began to come together. I have benefited from what I learned and acquired new insights about the field. Besides satisfying my creative mind, design ideas are constantly emerging, and I am never bored.

Thanks to the help of my professors, my career path is more real every day. I have also listened to the advice from other designers while learning the many ways to create a harmonious interior. More importantly, I have the ability and sensitivity to make the connection between clients’ needs and a designer’s creativity to build safe, beautiful, and functional spaces.

Having a broad base of life experiences and a strong educational background, I am confident about using my creative skills and forward-thinking to benefit my employer’s objectives. Furthermore, my expertise in digital visualization and 3-D rendering is a powerful tool for clients to connect with conceptual ideas and for the company to bring projects to life early in the design process.
